Giving at Church
We encourage all of those who are part of our Church family to give—not out of obligation but out of a spirit of worship. Your gifts allow God's work to be done in our midst, in our community, and in the world around us.
Securely Give Online
Your information is held securely by an SSL encrypted connection. This information will remain private and will never be given away to third parties, other than to process your scheduled contributions.
Ways to Give
There are many easy ways for you to give, including one-time gifts, text-to-give, online recurring giving and, of course, during our weekend worship services.
Your gift helps us live out our vision to serve the world.
Why We Give
"In every way I’ve shown you that by laboring like this, it is necessary to help the weak and to keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, for He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35
God can do much with little. God can do much with nothing. So why do we give?
It's simple really, we give because of Exodus 35:5, "Take from among you an offering to the Lord; everyone who has the impulse in his heart, let him give his offering to the Lord; gold and silver and brass"
We give because of the impulses of our hearts, and the understanding that anything we have is not ours, but instead we are stewards of it. We desire to be good stewards of what The Lord has blessed us with, in order that His kingdom may be furthered, and all glory would be His.
When we give, we do so with a humble heart, knowing how paltry it is to The Creator of Everything. We also give with a grateful heart, because how much more precious is the Joy of The Lord in us? We say unfathomably more.
We give in accordance with the scripture, and Parkway gives as well. Parkway Baptist tithes at least 10% of our yearly budget, that our ministries would be blessed with fruit and our harvest would be bountiful. God is faithful in all things, money included. The least we can do is be faithful to Him. Giving isn't just a writing of a check, transfer of funds, or cash in a plate. Giving is an act of worship, which He takes joy in.
That is our ultimate goal, in all we do: To bring glory to The Lord.
Q: What is my money going towards?
A: When you give at Parkway, it goes towards funding our many ministries. Ministry is at the very heart of Parkway, because it is how we can show the Love of Christ to people. Funding these ministries includes furnishing supplies and facilitating ministry and outreach.
Parkway Baptist Church is a tithing church and donates 10% of contributions received for the general budget to various organizations and ministries. These organizations and ministries include the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program, Creath-Brazos Baptist Association, New Day Orphanage and Texas A&M Baptist Student Ministry to name a few.
Q: How can I give?
A: Giving can be done in a few different ways. We have a scheduled offering time every Sunday morning worship service for those who like to give in the traditional way.
We also have online giving available through the website on this page. Clicking the link will take you to a separate page where you can choose the amount to give, as well as designate a fund for it to go to specifically. If you don't have a specific idea of where you'd like to give, we have a general funds option that will be disbursed through the discernment of our Senior Pastor and Council of Elders as needs arise.
Q: How do I know how much to give?
A: We believe that giving is not so much a number issue, but a heart issue. We encourage you to give what the Lord has laid on your heart to give. The Lord has blessed us all in different ways, and offerings and sacrifices come in many ways as well.
Q: How do I know what's happening financially in the church?
A: Every Wednesday Parkway Baptist Church publishes a weekly financial report in their email. You can sign up for that here. We also have quarterly business meetings where we discuss the budget and other church business, which all are encouraged to attend.
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a branch of Samaritans Purse that focuses on meeting the spiritual and physical needs of children all over the world. With an eternal intent hundreds of thousands children receive boxes with items for personal hygiene, toys, books, and clothes. Most importantly, in this box, they receive the message of Jesus Christ, and the Gospel. Each box starts with people like you buying and donating these items to give to a child somewhere in the world who needs them. They are then packed at local churches and, most importantly, individually prayed over for the child that receives that box. It is then collected and delivered to churches around the world, and, from there, distributed to children in areas of high risk or just without a strong influence of Christ. These children receive the Gospel in the form of "The Greatest Journey", a tract about the Gospel, and The Lord that provides them with an introduction to Christianity. Some of these children keep the items and throw away the literature. Some, however, come back to the church to inquire more about this "Jesus". What a wonderful ministry to be a part of! And what's more; often these children will lead their families to Christ after making the decision themselves! This all happened because someone took the time to pack a shoe box. You can donate to OCC specifically here at Parkway, or through their website here.
